To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, all participants of Supper on the Sip are required to complete 2 waivers prior to attending the event. These waivers acknowledge the unique nature of dining and celebrating on the Old Mississippi River Bridge and confirm each guest’s understanding of the event guidelines, safety requirements, and liability release.
By signing the waiver, you agree to:
- Follow all event rules, staff directions, and safety protocols.
- Acknowledge that participation involves walking and dining on a historic bridge with limited accessibility.
- Release event organizers, sponsors, and partners from liability related to accidents, injuries, or unforeseen circumstances.
Your safety is our top priority, and completing the waivers help us ensure a smooth and secure experience for everyone. Waivers must be submitted online during ticket purchase and the Bridge waiver at check-in before entering the bridge.

Tickets
No tickets will be sold at the doors. Tickets have been emailed to all purchasers. If you cannot find your tickets, please contact United Way at 601-636-1733 or alyssa@unitedwayvicksburg.org, and we will
resend them to you. Each ticket contains a specific bar code which can only be scanned once. Upon exit, there is no reentry. All guests must sign a copy of the Bridge Release form, which can be found
at the bottom of this email. Guests can print and sign prior to the event — just don't forget to bring it with you! NO GUESTS UNDER 15 ARE ALLOWED ON THE BRIDGE.
Handbag Policy
To ensure everyone is safe on the bridge, we ask that guests refrain from bringing handbags onto the bridge, either leaving them at home or in their vehicles. However, small, clear handbags (such as those
used for stadiums and other significant events) are permitted. ONLY CLEAR HANDBAGS WILL BE ACCEPTED! You may be asked to put it back in your vehicle if you bring it to the bridge.
Attire
Whatever you feel like wearing! Just be sure to include walking shoes, so you can easily make your way to each of our vendors.
Parking and Shuttle
Follow signs on Washington Street to event parking in the Ameristar (formerly Delta Point) parking lot. Overflow parking is available across the street at the Ameristar Hotel bottom parking lot. From there,
shuttles will transport guests to the event's entry point. Shuttle service begins at 5 PM, with registration beginning at 5:30 PM.Limited handicapped parking is available at the Vicksburg Welcome
Center. These spaces are reserved for guests with state-issued handicap tags or placards. Please see the parking attendants for any questions or issues.
Guest Registration
Gates open for registration at 5:30 PM. Bridge entry begins at 6:00 PM. Each guest must sign a Bridge Release Form before entering the bridge. Upon signing/ returning a signed bridge form, guests will receive an orange or blue wristband. These will determine which serving line you will follow. If you have an orange wristband, you will form your line with the help of a United Way volunteer to the orange tent section, and the same with the blue wristband. Each tent line will feature the same restaurants. If you are meeting guests, we recommend showing up together, so you can dine and stroll together. Wristbands must be worn throughout the entire event.
Press and Sponsors, please check in at the registration table. Upon exit, there is no reentry.
Souvenir Opportunities
Commemorative t-shirts (adult sizes S-4XL) will be available for $30. A local artist will be on site to capture the event. A silent auction will be held for this original piece of artwork via online bidding at 32auctions.com/sots26. We recommend creating your account in advance for online bidding. There will be prints of artwork from previous years by artists for $10. Accepted payment options include Venmo, cash, check, and most major credit cards. We regret that we do not accept American Express.
Rules
- This is an alcohol-free event, and guests can be denied entry if obviously intoxicated.
- No tobacco (including vapes and chewing tobacco) is permitted.
- No children under the age of 15 are allowed on the bridge.
- Please do not cross, stand or sit on, or reach over the handrails.
- Do not throw objects from the bridge.
In the event of an emergency, please remain calm and follow the directions of United Way staff and volunteers in United Way of West Central Mississippi logo t-shirts.
Restrooms
There will be porta-potties and hand-washing stations on the bridge. Please see the attached map for their location.
Inclement Weather
In case of extreme weather, the event will be rescheduled for Tuesday. October 13 at 6 PM. Sorry, but weather-related refunds or exchanges are not available.
