Boy Scouts - Andrew Jackson Council

Provides youth development programs for boys, young men and young women.  Teaches life-skills and promotes personal growth and self-reliance.  Involves youth in citizenship participation and provides opportunities for weekend camping, day camps and summer camps.

Cary Christian Center

Located in Cary this agency provides services to Sharkey and Issaquena Counties through outreach programs including emergency assistance, a Dental Clinic with full dental services, home repairs done through a volunteer program, parenting outreach support through classes and home visits, LIFT: a support group for young moms on TANF, Teen Girls Group, The Village: an afterschool and summer program for children, and 2 thrift stores. The focus of all of these programs is to break cycles of poverty through relationships one person at a time.

Central Mississippi Prevention Services

Revitalizes and expands the capacity of failing students and trains and empowers them to abstain from delinquent behavior.

Christian Volunteer Service

Located in Port Gibson this agency provides services including food packages, house repairs, medicines, utility assistance, counseling for inmates, assistance for abused and transient persons and visits to homebound, elderly individuals.

Community Council

Provides services to homebound frail elderly such as assistance with daily living activities; hot meals; transportation to and from community resources; investigation and resolution of reported abuse of elderly.  Provides case management services to help the frail elderly live independent lives.

Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi

Provides all girls, grades K-12th, and adult volunteers with the opportunity to be Girl Scouts through the participation in volunteer-led troops, staff-driven in-school troops, special interest projects and summer resident camp.  Develops girls of courage, confidence and character who will make the world a better place.

Good Sheperd Community Center

Provides a holistic program for children, youth and families through the following programs:  Daycare for children ages six weeks to four years old, Medical Clinic for uninsured individuals, Family Literacy (GED), Tutorial, Saturday Art Enrichment, Family Food, Specific Aid, and Community Center.

Grace Christian Counseling Center

Grace Christian Counseling Center is a professional counseling service for individuals, couples, families and groups seeking help for major life issues and mental health conditions which includes grief, anxiety, loss and recovery, anger management, parenting, divorce and separation, and many other concerns.

Haven House Family Shelter

Promotes violence-free living and self-sufficiency through community-wide educational programs; and through support to victims of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault. Victim services are confidential and free, and include a 24-hour crisis line, group and individual counseling, case management, therapeutic child care, court advocacy, information and referral, and for those who need it, emergency shelter and transitional housing with food, clothing, transportation and other essentials.

HIV Services, Inc.

Provides full range outpatient clinic services for patients who are HIV positive and/or have AIDS and their families.  These services include educational, testing, crisis intervention, counseling and assistance with medication and treatment.

Magnolia Speech School

Provides an intensive speech/language and hearing program for children through self-contained classes and individualized instruction.  Infants and toddlers are served through home based services and clinical services are offered for evaluations and outpatient therapy.

Provides a complete range of rehabilitation, employment, and skills training to the handicapped adult population of Warren County.  This is provided through sheltered workshop, community job placement, job coaching, developmental services for multi-handicapped; social services and transportation.

Mountain of Faith Ministries

We are moving mountains one by one, restoring the lives of homeless women and children. Dedicated in serving others through feeding, clothing, sheltering and motivating those in need.

The Salvation Army

Provides emergency assistance to the needy which includes food, clothing, furniture, utility assistance, soup kitchen, and limited transportation assistance.  Provides programs for children and visitation to residents of nursing homes and shut-ins.

Vicksburg Child and Parent Center

Serve’s as an advocate for the children of the community. The mission is to improve the lives of children by providing supportive services to families through preventive strategies to preserve and improve the quality of family life. They aspire to foster a happy and productive life for each child and are committed to educating the community on child abuse and neglect. The CAP Center offers the following programs: CASA, Family Violence Prevention, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Parenting Education, Individual Mentoring for K-8, and Mentoring Teens girls and boys 13-17, Caretaker Training for Teens, Safesitter Certification for ages 10-12; Parenting Aide and Life Skills Program.

Vicksburg Family Development

Provides parenting education for first or second-time parents and their children. Services include prenatal classes, home visits, preschool education program and parenting classes.  A mentoring program also works with youth age 10-17 to prevent teen pregnancies, alcohol and drug abuse and school failure by promoting positive life choices.

Warren County Children's Shelter

Provides emergency shelter, food, clothing, counseling and referrals for abused, neglected, runaway and homeless children and youth.  Provides crisis intervention and family preservation counseling for families of runaway and homeless youth.  Provides educational presentations to schools and community agencies.

Warren-Yazoo Behavioral Health
