
Dr. Terence James is a native of Vicksburg, MS and is a product of the Vicksburg Warren School District. He enrolled in Alcorn State University during his freshman and sophomore years and later transferred to Mississippi State University. At Mississippi State, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 2000 and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration in 2002. In 2014, he earned his Doctoral degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Jackson State University.
Dr. James currently serves as the Director of Career and Technical Education with Vicksburg Warren School District. Before becoming an administrator, he spent the majority of his years as a math teacher. He has received many awards for his contribution within education, such as being selected as the 2nd Congressional District Administrator of the Year in 2022 and the Young, Gifted and Empowered Educator of the Year in 2024.
Dr. James has two adorable children named Ashton James and Aubrey James.
