Central Mississippi Prevention Services
Description
Central MS Prevention Services revitalize and expands the capacity of failing students and trains and empowers them to abstain from delinquent behavior. Our agency provides academic services, counseling services and case management services to students. Additionally, individual and family counseling is offered to the parents of students who are involved in our programs.
Who we serve
CMPS provides services to various age groups. Students in grades K-8th (Jr. High) are eligible for the Summer Leadership Camps. All students grades K-12th are eligible for academic assistance and counseling. Family counseling is available but limited to students who attend our programs. Also case management services are available to all students enrolled in our programs.

All students K-8th grade are eligible for the Summer Leadership Camp. However, all students grades K-12th are eligible for both counseling and academic assistance.
Where are the services offered?
Services are provided in two locations. The main office location at 2406 Grove Street offers academic services. These services are offered Mondays through Thursdays. The second office located at 920 Shannon Street offers academic services as well as counseling services.
How to apply for services (intake procedure)
A very brief application is necessary to apply for services, and applications are available at both locations. Proof of income is required.
