Description of agency/service
Vicksburg Family Development Provides parenting education for first or second-time parents and their children. Services include prenatal classes, home visits, preschool education program and parenting classes. A mentoring program also works with youth age 10-17 to prevent teen pregnancies, alcohol and drug abuse and school failure by promoting positive life choices. Alcohol and drug abuse prevention programs also presented in the community.

Who is eligible
First or second time parents and their children, prenatal to age 4. Must be enrolled before child is eighteen months of age. Target population is teen parents and single parent families but all families are welcome. Exceptions are made for special circumstances. Mentoring program for youth age 10-17.
